No PSK31 Contacts on 20m

I'm trying to figure out why my PSK31 CQ calls on 20m go unanswered. I am new to this mode but I'm pretty sure the IC-718 is delivering 15 watts to my outdoor all-band loop antenna. IMD measures around -20dB.

Sunspot count is zero and solar flux is very low right now which is not conducive to DX. However I'm hearing strong signals from the Carribean and South America around the clock.

Is it something in the station setup... hardware or software (DigiPan)? Or is it my inexperienced keyboard technique? Could it be that the stations I'm hearing are running high power?

What is peferred way to QSL on PSK31?

After years of inactivity I'm getting back into ham radio, this time with PSK31. I have a homebrew interface between my computer and rig it is almost finished. The Rx side is working already, and I'm seeing lots of DX activity on 20m.

In anticipation of working some of this DX, I have a question... What is the preferred way to QSL PSK32 QSOs? I'm used to the old QSL cards but I'm sure QSL'ing has gone electronic like so many other things.

Thanks.

I'm back

I hope that this forum is not an indication of the bands!!

After being semi-active for several years. I am getting my digital station back on line.

What are the favorite modes these days??

Digital eqtiquette

I have been operating the digital modes for 6 years. In that time, I noticed a the lack of operating courtesy when sending a cq using the psk31 mode on 20 meters. Many stations don't check to see if another station is in qso. The individuals start sending their cq's on top of or too close to the other station. This is especially noticeable when the 20 meter band does open and there are many stations on. Just to be sure, I send a QRL? that's cw for is the frequency/are you busy? Now many new operators may not understand that abbreviation.

How to adjust waterfall drive in DigiPan

Hi,

I am trying to adjust the waterfall drive in the DigiPan software I just downloaded. It is running in a Windows Vista environment, on a laptop PC. The rig is a Small Wonder PSK20, which I built and used successfully a few years ago.
